Mrs. Jessie Slaight Dies In Hospital

Mrs. Jessie R. Slaight, 88, of Astoria, died at 6:24 p.m. Monday, July 28, 1980, at Mason District Hospital in Havana.

She was born June 30, 1892, in Vermont, a daughter of Joseph and Mary Elizabeth (Phillips) Robison. She married Harve C. Slaight on Oct. 5, 1911, at Springfield. He preceded her in death on Sept. 23, 1962.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Georgia Skiles of Browning and Mrs. Lois Dunn of Farmington; three grandchildren; two great-granddaughters; and one sister, Mrs. Maude Salisbury of Centralia, Mo.

She was also preceded in death by one son, one daughter and two sisters.

Mrs. Slaight was a member of the Summum Christian Church and had taught school in rural schools during her younger years.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. this afternoon at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Rev. R. Bruce Weiman officiating. Burial will be in the Astoria Cemetery.
