C. O. Snedeker Of Ipava Dies

Clinton O. Snedeker, 81, Ipava, a retired business manager of the Farmer’s Elevator, died at 5 p.m. Sunday in McDonough District Hospital, Macomb.

He was born March 3, 1889, in Astoria, the son of J. B. and Ella (Boyd) Snedeker. In 1913, he was married to Marjorie Monney, who died Nov. 26, 1961. He later married Gay Porter, who survives.

Other survivors include a son, Philip Snedeker of Ipava; two grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Neva Lockard and Mrs. Berniece Baxter, both of Astoria. A brother and a sister died earlier.

Mr. Snedeker was a member of the Masonic Lodge 213, AF & AM, Mohammed Temple and Peoria Shrine.

He was also a member of the Ipava United Presbyterian Church where services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday with the Rev. John Smidt officiating. Entombment will be in the Ipava Memorial Mausoleum.

Masonic services were conducted at Shawgo Memorial Home in Ipava at 8 p.m. Tuesday evening.
