John Wesley Schisler, died at the home of his brother, Daniel Schisler in Smithshire, Ill., on Thursday, aged 74 years, 4 months and 29 days.
The deceased was born May 8, 1874, in Schuyler county, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Schisler. He was united in marriage to Martha Furnace of Astoria, Dec. 15, 1908, who passed away Oct. 11, 1934.
He leaves to mourn his passing, two brothers, Henry and Daniel Schisler of Smithshire, Ill., and one sister, Mrs. Glen Rockwell of Frederick.
Mr. Schisler had been in failing health for several years. Three years ago he went to make his home with his brother Daniel.
The body was brought to the Shawgo Memorial Home. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon, at 1 o'clock at the Astoria Church of the Brethren, conducted by Rev. G. G. Canfield. Burial in Oak Grove cemetery.
