WILLIAM SMITH JR.

Infant Dies

William Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. T. W. Smith was born in Galesburg hospital May 10, 1922. Died, May 12th. The father accompanied the body to Astoria.

Saturday at 10 a.m. a short service was held at the home of the grandparents of the child, Mr. and Mrs. E. P. Prather.

By the request of the mother a short talk was given by Rev. Ella Niswonger from the words, “Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not, for of such is the kingdom of Heaven.” Interment in Astoria cemetery.

Mr. Smith returned to Galesburg Saturday afternoon to be with his wife. Mr. and Mrs. Smith have the sympathy of their many friends.

Baby sleeps, his hands are folded
On his little lifeless breast;
In his narrow bed of flowers,
Where is body sweetly rests.
Baby rests in sleep so holy,
Do not wake him with your tears,
You will meet and love him fondly,
In the home beyond the years.
