DORA LUCILE (RAKESTRAW) SEXTON

Death Claims Young Mother

VERMONT — Dora Lucile Rakestraw, daughter of Thomas and Edith Renner Rakestraw, was born in Astoria, Illinois, November 5th, 1889, and died in Table Grove, February 28, 1920, at the age of 30 years, 3 months and 23 days.

July 24, 1912, she was united in marriage with Joseph Sexton of Vermont. To this union there were born three children, Ora Elizabeth, Beulah Bernice and Archie, all of whom survive her. She also leaves her father, Thomas Rakestraw of Vermont, one brother, Gilbert and one sister, Rebecca of Table Grove.

Several years ago she was converted and united with the Methodist church in Vermont, and has continued in faithful membership ever since. Though she seemed called upon to pass through many trying experiences, and has known suffering and pain, still she kept her faith in God, and was determined nothing should separate her from her Saviour. She was true to the last and left the gracious assurance that she was ready to go.

Funeral services were conducted by her pastor, Rev. O. W. Rose in the Methodist church in Vermont, and burial made in the cemetery at Vermont, Monday, March first.
