Iris M. Ryan, 83, of Peoria died at 11:41 a.m. Sunday, April 18, 2004, at Proctor Hospital in Peoria.
She was born Nov. 2, 1920, in Table Grove, a daughter of Foster E. and Mary L. Carithers Bottenberg.
She is survived by one daughter, Susan (and Paul) Shrout of Metamora; one grandson; two stepgranddaughters; and one brother, William Bottenberg of Metamora.
She was preceded in death by three sisters and one brother.
She was an accounting clerk for Peoria City/County Health Department, retiring in 1987 after 37 years of service.
She was a former member and treasurer for the Peoria Hammond Organ Club, a member of the Orpheus Club and an active member of the Peoria AARP. She was a Red Cross volunteer and former Peoria County election judge.
Services were held Thursday at Grace & Peace Lutheran Church in Peoria with Rev. O. Wayne Shelksohn officiating. Interment was at American Mausoleum in Peoria. Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home in Peoria was in charge of arrangements.
