John Reneau

John Reneau, 83, of Rock Falls, formerly of Table Grove, died Thursday, Aug. 16, 2001, at CGH Medical Center in Sterling.

He was born Aug. 7, 1918, in Table Grove, a son of Austin and Lucy Parks Reneau. He married Evelyn Walters on April 13, 1946, in Peoria. She survives.

Also surviving are one son, Bud (and Betsy) of Rock Falls; two sisters, Twila Hawkins of Industry and Mabel Perrin of Marion, Iowa; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two sisters and four brothers.

An Army veteran, he was a member of the American Legion.

He owned and operated a sanitation service for 30 years, retiring in 1974.

Graveside services were held Monday at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Rock Falls, where military rites were accorded. Cremation has been accorded. McDonald Funeral Home and Crematory in Rock Falls was in charge of arrangements.
