Leona Roddis

Leona M. Roddis, 68, of rural Lewistown died at 3:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 20, 1996, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

She was born Nov. 4, 1927, in Liverpool Township, a daughter of Benjamin Everett and Nellie O. Johnson Pollitt. She married William R. Roddis on April 6, 1947, in Ipava. He survives.

Also surviving are one son, Bill Roddis of rural Lewistown; one daughter, Phyllis Fleming of Ipava; three grandchildren; and five sisters, Ruth Berry and Faye Hughes, both of Lewistown, Hilda Shaw of Trivoli, Joanne Thomas of Canton and her twin, Leota Kovachevich of Ellisville.

She was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.

She was of the Christian faith.

Funeral services were held Monday at Murphy-Sedgwick Memorial Home in Canton with Rev. Dennis Knotts officiating. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery in Lewistown.

Memorials may be made to the Canton Dialysis Unit.

She was a sister of the late Wayne Pollitt of Astoria.
