PEARL L. (McALISTER) ROBERSON

Pearl Roberson Dies On Jan. 6

Pearl L. Roberson, 73, of Farmington, died at 6:15 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 6, 1990, at her home.

She was born July 11, 1916, in Peoria County, a daughter of Clarence and Clara McMeen McAlister. She married Torris Roberson on Aug. 4, 1934, in Glasford. He died Feb. 14, 1968, in Peoria.

She also was preceded in death by one grandson.

Surviving are one son, Larry of Galesburg; four daughters, Mrs. Joel (Lorena) Summers of Peoria, Mrs. John (Alice) Jones of Marietta, Mrs. Gerald (Marian) Pemble of Canton and Mrs. Charles (Jean) Dangler of Beton, Mo.; four sisters, Zella Sill and Mrs. James (Edith) Richards, both of Peoria, and Mrs. Elmer (Eleanor) Zessin of Farmington and Mrs. Dickie (Dorothy) Isbell of Hanna City; one brother, Everett McAlister of Elmwood; 22 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.

She was a member of the White Chapel United Methodist Church in Glasford.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Anderson Funeral Home in Farmington with Rev. Jerry A. Sawyer officiating. Burial was in Pleasant Grove Cemetery near Eden.

Memorials may be made to her church or to the American Cancer Society.
