Mrs. Lillie L. Rose, 84, of 553 E. Chestnut St., died at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 19, 1980, at Graham Hospital in Canton.
She was born Nov. 23, 1895, in Vermont, a daughter of James and Hannah (Cook) Lybarger. She married Arthur Lee Rose on Aug. 10, 1916, in Monmouth. He died on May 4, 1956.
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Opal Heaton of Canton; one son, Herman Lee Rose of Canton; three grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one foster great-grandchild; and two sisters, Mrs. Martha Smith of Vermont and Mrs. Fern Riebling of Astoria.
She was preceded in death by two brothers.
Mrs. Rose was a member of the Grandmother’s Club in Canton.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Murphy-Sedgwick Memorial Home with Rev. Darrell Harrison officiating. Burial was in the Vermont cemetery.
