Mrs. Sarah Royer Dies In Macomb Nursing Home

Mrs. Sarah C. Royer, 80, of Industry, died at the Elms Nursing Home, Macomb at 1:15 a.m. Nov. 14th. She had been seriously ill three weeks.

Mrs. Royer, daughter of Joseph and LeaEllen Wonderlich Engle, was born at Astoria, Oct. 26, 1870. She lived in Astoria until her marriage to Henry Royer in 1886, then lived in Industry. She later moved with her family to Schuyler county for about 25 years, then moved to Industry, where she lived until her sickness became so bad she was taken to the Elms Nursing Home for care. She was a member of the Church of the Brethren for 63 years.

Surviving are four sons and four daughters: Alba Tribbett, Ed Royer and Nellie Oster of Industry; Lether Eddington and Clarence Royer of Macomb; Earl Royer of Camden; Clara Hickman of Bushnell, and Jay Royer of Colorado. Also surviving is a brother, Harve Engle of Utah, two sisters, Mrs. Eliza R. Adams of Macomb, and Laura Klinedinst of Havana, 39 grandchildren, 62 great-grandchildren and four great, great-grandchildren. Her husband preceded her in death.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday at the Industry Methodist church, the Rev. Homer Kiracofe of Astoria and the Rev. J. J. Webb of Industry, officiating. Burial was in in the Industry cemetery.
