James “Jim” M. Quesinberry, 84, of Rushville died at 6 a.m. Oct. 21, 2016, at Heritage Manor in Mount Sterling.

He was born Dec. 25, 1931, in Laurel Fork, Va., a son of James and Hattie Quesinberry. He married Viola Anderson on May 21, 1982, in Astoria. She survives.

Also surviving are one son, James “Jimmy” (and Donna) Quesinberry of Franklin, Ky.; one stepdaughter, Darlene (and Gary) Baker of Rushville; one sister, Oleta Boozer of North Carolina; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by four brothers, Eldon O’Neal, Bill, Delano and Elwood Quesinberry.

He worked at Pioneer and Cargill. He retired from L & N Industries in Rushville, where he worked as a painter.

He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1951-55.

He was a member of Astoria Christian Church.

Cremation rites have been accorded.

Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria is in charge of arrangements.
