Larry ParksLarry ParksLarry Parks, 85, of Macomb, formerly of Chicago, died at 7:03 p.m. Feb. 1, 2024, at St. John’s Medical Center in Springfield.
He was born March 29, 1938, in Macomb, the son of Russell and Eleanor Barrett Parks. He married Anne in 1979 in Chicago. She passed away on March 31, 2019.
He also was preceded in death by one sister, Karen Stewart; and one brother, Richard Parks.
Surviving are two sisters, Shirley Louderman of Macomb and Sandy (and Dean) Chipman of Ipava; one sister-in-law, Rosemary Parks of Macomb; and several nieces and nephews.
He lived most of his life in the Chicago area before moving to Macomb in 2019. He worked as a librarian.
He was an Army veteran.
Graveside services were held Tuesday at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Macomb with Matt Housewright officiating. Clugston-Tibbitts Funeral Home in Macomb was in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be made to the Macomb Public Library.
