Richard ParksRichard K. Parks, 77, of Macomb died Sept. 5, 2021, at Blessing Hospital in Quincy after a long battle with chronic kidney disease and heart failure.

He was born Jan. 19, 1944, in Macomb, a son of Russell Parks and Eleanor Barrett Parks Shirrell. He married Rosemary Sullivan on April 18, 1969. She survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Kris (and Christopher) Rehm of Nashville, Tenn., and Ashly (and Matt) Housewright of Macomb; one brother, Larry Parks of Macomb; two sisters, Shirley Louderman of Macomb and Sandy Chipman of Ipava; and six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Karen Stewart.

He served in the U.S. Army during the time of the Vietnam War.

He was a partner for Car Care Auto Sales for over 20 years.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Dodsworth-Piper-Wallen Funeral Home in Macomb with Father Adam Stimpson officiating. Masks are required. Cremation has been accorded.
