He was born June 16, 1937, a son of Leo H. and Faye H. Brewer Pryor. He married Nancy Jane Kistler on June 23, 1956, in Rushville. She survives.
Also surviving are four sons, Robert Pryor of Washington, Rodney Pryor of Aurora, Colo., Rick (and Jeanette) Pryor of Sycamore and Ronald (and Tiffany) Pryor of Columbus, Ohio; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Leo Pryor Junior and Albert Pryor.
He was a machinist at Caterpillar for 30 years before retiring. He worked part-time as a police officer for the Schuyler County Sheriff’s office, the Rushville City Police and as a security guard at the coal mine near Camden.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday at Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville with Reverend Stacy Tomich officiating. Inurnment will be held at a later date in Rushville City Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 3 p.m. until the time of service on Thursday.
