Albert PryorAlbert J. Pryor, 80, of Rushville died at 6:05 p.m. Dec. 23, 2008, at his residence.

He was born June 8, 1928, in Rushville, a son of Leo H. Sr. and Faye H. Brewer Pryor. He married Louise Moore on March 6, 1948, in Rushville. She survives.

Also surviving are three daughters, Teresa (and Michael) Thomas of Las Vegas, Nev., Debbi (and Steve) Helmling of Evansville, Ind., and Bobbi (and David) Ash of Lynnville, Ind.; two brothers, Gerald (and Nancy) Pryor of Rushville and Leo (and Lois) Pryor of Lockport; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Rushville and Rushville Flying Club.

He was a farmer. He later owned and operated a Conoco Service Station and managed Olin-Mathison Fertilizer Plant, both in Rushville. He then worked for Trivali Ill. Coal Co. and was a piping tradesman for Thomas Plumbing and Heating Co. in Galesburg, retiring in 1999.

Services were held Monday at Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville with Rev. Dixie Croxton officiating. Cremation has been accorded, with burial to be in Rushville City Cemetery at a later date.
