Bob PetersonRobert F. “Bob” Peterson, 92, of Macomb, formerly of Brooklyn, died at 12:12 p.m. Jan. 19, 2019, at The Elms in Macomb.

He was born Oct. 12, 1926, in Camden, a son of Walter and Myrtle L. Cleek Peterson. He married Edna Lung on Sept. 19, 1947, in Palmyra, Mo. She survives.

Also surviving are three daughters, Roberta McClure and Susan (and Randall) Carson, both of Colchester and Juanita (and Lynn) Bainter of Macomb; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one infant brother, Thomas Peterson; and three sisters, Mary Bubb, Leona Chapman and Audrey Quinn.

He was a heavy equipment operator for Linn Eaton and Morris Morrell, and would later own his own company. He also worked as the Brooklyn Township Road Commissioner for 13 years and for the Schuyler County Highway Department for 15 years, retiring in April, 1991.

He was a member of Ducks Unlimited.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Wood Funeral Home in Rushville with David Haney officiating. Burial will follow in the Camden West Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the MDH Hospice or The Elms.
