Rick F. Pittman, 72, of Astoria died at 4:45 a.m. June 2, 2018, at his home.

He was born March 19, 1946, in Canton, a son of Richard and Bessie McKean Pittman. He married Linda Keller on Nov. 29, 1970, in Macomb. She preceded him in death on Feb. 18, 2005. He later married Evelyn Gooden on May 23, 2009, in Colton, S.D. She survives.

Also surviving are one stepson, David (and Kelly) Gooden of Kings Port, Tenn.; one stepdaughter, Angela Curtis of Chester, S.D.; one brother, Randall (and Carol) Pittman of Colchester; one sister, Robin Pittman of Colchester; 10 step grandchildren; and nine step great-grandchildren.

He was a retired truck driver.

He was in the U.S. Marine Corps and was a Vietnam War Veteran.

He was a member of Grace Bible Church of Astoria and a lifetime member of the NRA.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Pastor Ben Murray officiating. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in Vermont Cemetery with Military Rites provided by the Astoria American Legion.

Memorials may be made to Grace Bible Church of Astoria or Compassus Hospice in Galesburg.
