Pauline Parsano

Pauline ParsanoPauline Parsano, 90, of Rushville died at 9:05 a.m. May 9, 2018, at the Rushville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Rushville.

She was born Nov. 29, 1927, in Brown County, Illinois, a daughter of Ralph and Alta Mildred Hughes Bowman. She married Harley “Parsie” Parsano on Sept. 23, 1946, in Peoria. He preceded her in death on March 5, 1993.

She also was preceded in death by two daughters, Rhonda Lea Parsano and Sue Trone; one grandson, Doug Trone; one sister, Norma Foiles; and four brothers, Vernon, Truman, John and Joe Bowman.

Surviving are four daughters, Sharon Gossage, Sandi (and Rick) Prather and Sally (and Jim) Toland, all of Rushville, and Rissa Keck of Bartonville; 10 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.

She worked for seven years at Ball Variety Store, Mode-O-Day and Antiques and Trumpery, all in Rushville. She also cleaned houses. She and her husband helped manage the Rushville Roller Rink. They also managed the Ayerco Convenience Store for many years.

She was a member of First Southern Baptist Church in Rushville.

Graveside services were held Monday at the Rushville City Cemetery with David Haney officiating. Wood Funeral Home in Rushville was in charge of arrangements.
