Ida "Rosie" PiperIda "Rosie" Piper, 91, of Monmouth died at 5:10 p.m. Feb. 21, 2013, at her home.

She was born Aug. 14, 1921, in Browning, a daughter of Henry and Elsie E. Belville Skiles. She married Paul R. Piper on Feb. 14, 1940, in Palmyra, Mo. He preceded her in death on March 23, 2012.

She also was preceded in death by one son, Terry; two brothers; and two sisters.

Surviving are two daughters, Sandra Hunt of Monmouth and Melody Piper (and Denny) Britton of Kirkwood; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was raised and educated in Browning, where she attended Ridgeville rural school.

She was a homemaker.

She formerly was a member of Fairview Center United Methodist Church and later First Church of the Nazarene in Monmouth.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth. Burial will be in Warren County Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held from noon to 1 p.m. prior to the service at Turnbulls.

Memorials may be made to St. Judes Children's Hospitals.
