Russell Lee Palmer died Nov. 10, 2009, in Cle Elum, Wash.
He was born June 27, 1923, in Fulton County, a son of W.J. and Inez Stambaugh Palmer. He married Mamie Dennis on June 23, 1945, in Hartford, Wash. She died in 2005.
Surviving are four sons; two daughters; one brother, Robert Palmer of Bardolph; one sister, Betty (and Boon) Lawver of Astoria; 10 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Cremation rites have been accorded and a life celebration service will be held at a later date. Burial will be in Cle Elum.
