She was born June 28, 1924, in Vermont, the daughter of Nels and Marquerite Ashcraft Madtson. She married Robert E. Parkinson on Oct. 2, 1945, in Lewistown. He died June 8, 1988.
Surviving are two sons, Ralph Parkinson of Bryant and Dane Parkinson of Cuba; three daughters, Martha (and Charles) Vaughn of Farmington, Marjorie (and Doug) Grafford of Lewistown and Roberta Oest of Astoria; one brother, Nelson Madtson of Ipava; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Services were held Friday at Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Lewistown with Rev. Danie deBeer officiating. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery in Lewistown.
