Dale B. Peak, 85, of Macomb, formerly of the Canton and Industry areas, died at 6:04 p.m. Friday, May 18, 2001, at McDonough District Hospital.
He was born Jan. 21, 1916, in Schuyler County, a son of Fred Roscoe and Sylvia Ann Wilhelm Peak. He married Helen L. Martin on March 16, 1940, in St. Charles, Mo. She survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Michael (and Nancy) of Bellefontaine, Ohio, and Kenneth of Canton; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one brother, Keith (and Neva) of Table Grove.
He was preceded in death by two infant brothers.
He lived in the Industry area before moving to Canton in 1949, where he served as city councilman for 8 years from 1971 to 1979. He moved to Macomb in 1996.
He worked for All Star Dairy and Prairie Farms Dairy for 20 years, retiring in 1981.
Graveside services were held Monday at Greenwood Cemetery in Canton with Rev. Loren Curtis officiating. Clugston-Tibbitts Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
