Kathryn Lee Pace, 84, of Lewistown, died at 12:50 p.m. Saturday, March 13, 1999, at Prairie View Care Center in Lewistown.
She was born Aug. 22, 1914, in Chicago, a daughter of James F. and Marie (Girard) Tippett. She married Charles N. Pace on Feb. 14, 1946, in East St. Louis. He died March 3, 1984. She was also preceded in death by one brother and one sister.
Surviving are one brother, James F. Tippett Jr. of Astoria; one nephew, Mark L. Tippett of Lewistown; one great-niece; and one great-nephew.
She moved to St. Louis at an early age. She attended East St. Louis schools and Summer’s Business College there. She was a stenographer for New York Life Insurance Co. in St. Louis, East St. Louis and Belleville. She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Belleville.
Cremation has been accorded. Entombment of remains were at Valhalla Gardens of Memories in Belleville. Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria was in charge of arrangements.
