Alfred Parker

Alfred Dale “Pete” Parker, 58, of Industry, died at 10:55 p.m. Thursday, July 25, 1996, at his residence.

He was born June 5, 1938 in Industry, a son of John and Beulah Wayne Parker. He married Alice Reimolds on March 27, 1956, in Macomb. She survives.

Also surviving are three sons, John Parker and Timothy Parker of Industry, and Jack Parker of Bushnell; three daughters, Peggy O’Hara of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Kimberly Miller and Rebecca Hynek of Industry; 16 grandchildren; three brothers, William Parker and Virgil Parker of Industry, and James Parker of Plymouth; four sisters, Mary Frakes of Industry, Betty Oliver of Blandinsville, Marjorie McMillan of Burlington, Iowa and Virginia Wayland of Colchester. He was a cousin of Carroll Parker of Astoria.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, John Parker and Harold Parker, and one sister, Edna Wilhelm.

Mr. Parker had lived all his life in McDonough County and had worked as a heavy equipment operator for the Freeman United Coal Company. He was also a member of the United Mine Workers of America.

Funeral services were held Wednesday at the Clugston-Tibbitts Funeral Home in Macomb with Marshall Litchfield officiating. Burial was at the Industry Cemetery in Industry.

Memorials may be made to the Cancer Society or the Arthritis Foundation.
