Bernard “Snowshoes” Phillips, 53, of R.R. 3, Rushville, died at 8:45 p.m. Friday, April 27, 1990, at Culbertson Hospital in Rushville.
He was born May 12, 1936 at Ray, Schuyler County, the son of Walter M. and Lena (Juett) Phillips.
Surviving are two brothers, Miles Phillips of Canton and Robert Phillips of Rushville; one sister, Mrs. Roy (Eloise) Heitz of Cuba; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.
He was a lifelong resident of Schuyler County and worked as a farm laborer. He never married.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Monday in the Roby Funeral Chapel with Rev. Marshall Ervin officiating. Burial was in Palm Cemetery.
