VeteranDale D. Pierce Of Browning Dies

Dale D. Pierce, 75, of rural Browning, a retired mechanic, died at 11:45 p.m. Thursday, April 5, 1990, at his Bluff City home.

He was born June 20, 1914, at Roy, Mont., a son of Harry and Edna Spangler Pierce. He married Lucille Dorothy on Oct. 1, 1933, at Carthage. She survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Darrell Pierce of Bluff City and Ronald Pierce of Lincoln; two daughters, Mrs. Darlene Harris of Worden and Mrs. Donna Eilman of Havana; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two brothers, Don Pierce of Parma, Mich. and Harold Pierce of Milan; and one sister, Mrs. Hazel Bieter of Burbank, Calif.

He was preceded in death by one son, four sisters and one brother.

He was a veteran of World War II and a former member of the Hickory-Kerton Fire Dept. at Bluff City.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Collis Trone officiating. Burial was in Astoria Cemetery.
