Archie P. Naff Dies At Age 85

Rev. Archie P. Naff, age 85, of Pilot, Va., died Feb. 11, 1980 in the Montgomery County Hospital. He was a minister in the Church of the Brethren for 45 years and for many years served as pastor of the Red Oak Grove Church of the Brethren in Floyd County. Rev. Naff retired as a rural mail carrier after 40 years service to Floyd and Montgomery Counties.

Surviving are his wife Melissa; six daughters, Mrs. Ruth Zeigler and Mrs. Myrtle Joyce Bibb, both of Salem, Mrs. Melba Bryant and Mrs. Lola Clower, both of Pilot, Mrs. Helen Altizer of Riner, Mrs. Dianne Trump of Christiansburg; six sons, Preston of Roanoke, Arnold of Bassett, Elbert Lee, Paul, William and Harold, all of Pilot; two sisters, Mrs. H. T. Williams of Floyd and Miss Delia of Roanoke; 34 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren. One son, J. T. preceded him in death.

Services were conducted at the Christiansburg Church of the Brethren.

Rev. Naff was the grandfather of Dr. David Naff of Astoria.
