She was born May 12, 1931, in Soldiers Grove, Wis., the daughter of Oscar and Nora Peterson Ward.
She married Herbert McCombs in Oswego. He preceded her in death on June 17, 2011.
She also was preceded in death by one daughter, Becky Pelton; two sons, Michael McCombs and Robert McCombs; and five brothers, Milton, twins Bob and Dick, her twin Bud and Jack Ward.
Surviving are two sons, Tom Jones (and Sherry) of Meredosia and Mark McCombs (and Wendy) of Odessa, Fla.; one daughter, Vicki Kusibab of Rushville; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She worked in retail during her work years. She was a member of the Community of Christ Church in Aurora.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 7, at Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville with Mr. Kenneth Sanders officiating. Burial will follow at the Rushville City Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until time of services.
