She was born Jan. 21, 1939, in Quincy, a daughter of Harry and Grace Ostrander Bryant.
Surviving are one son, Dan Martin of West Liberty, Iowa; one daughter, Debbie (and Jimmy) Derry of Astoria; one sister, June (and Bill) Lahrman of Quincy; one granddaughter, Jordyn (and Whitney) Davis of Astoria; two great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two infant siblings; and one brother, Harry Bryant.
She worked at the National Bank in Lewistown, then was owner/operator of two travel agencies in Lewistown and Havana. She then moved to Springfield where she was the manager of Travel at Bergner’s, until her retirement. She then moved back to Astoria where she worked as a teacher’s aide for Astoria Grade School and worked for Adkin’s Video. She then went to work for the Central Illinois Agency on Aging as the site manager for the Astoria Senior Center.
Services will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria. Visitation will be held from 4-6 p.m. Thursday at the memorial home. Burial will be at the Derry Family Cemetery at a later date.
