She was born Aug. 29, 1925, in Schuyler County, a daughter of Oscar and Esther Copes Aten. She married James Moughan on Oct. 9, 1975, in Decatur. He preceded her in death on Oct. 3, 2008.
She also was preceded in death by one stepson, Michael Moughan; one brother, Cline Aten; and one infant sister.
Surviving are one stepdaughter, Debra (and Dale) DeWeese of Lonedell, Mo.; four stepsons, John (and Rita) Moughan of Springfield, David (and Pamela) Moughan of Salisbury, James (and Jeannette) Moughan of Rochester and Mark (and Susan Milner) Moughan of Elkhart; 15 step grandchildren; and 21 step great-grandchildren.
She worked in the office of Chicago and Illinois Midland Railroad for 18 years retiring in 1989. She was a volunteer at Memorial Medical Center for 12 years.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Springfield.
Graveside Services were held Saturday at the Rushville City Cemetery. Wood Funeral Home in Rushville was in charge of arrangements.
