Morris MorrellMorris M. Morrell, 90, of Camden died at 5:50 a.m. Sept. 17, 2016, at his home.

He was born May 25, 1926, in Camden, the son of Roy and Ruth Marlow Morrell. He married Rosalie Billingsley on Feb. 25, 1945, in Little Rock, Ark. She survives.

Also surviving are three children, Sharon Topel of Quincy, Gary (and Marsha) Morrell of Camden and Carl “Russ” Morrell (and partner Greg Gerhart) of St. Louis, Mo.; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Morris was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. After returning from service in Japan, he was a life-long farmer in Camden Township as the owner and operator of Triple M Farms, Inc.

He was a member of Schuyler American Legion Post #4 for over 70 years, and served as a Camden Township trustee for 25 years.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Wood Funeral Home in Rushville with Pastor Tom Robbins officiating. Burial will follow in the Rushville City Cemetery with military rites by the U.S. Army Burial Detail and the Schuyler American Legion Post #4.

Memorials may be made to the Cass-Schuyler Area Hospice.
