Howard MorganHoward S. Morgan, 76, of Cuba died at 3:50 a.m. Jan. 17, 2013, at his home.

He was born Dec. 3, 1936, in Cuba, the son of Stephen Eugene and Louise Logan Morgan. He married Betty Dobbs on Sept. 3, 1960, in Kirksville, Mo. She survives.

Also surviving are one son, Michael (and Amy) Morgan of Wee-Ma-Tuk; one daughter, Betsy (and Randy) Pagan of Colorado Springs, Colo.; one sister, Bev (and Gary) Bevard of Florida; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one son, Stephen E. Morgan; and one sister, Mildred "Micky" Bartlett.

He served 20 years in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean and Vietnam wars. He later worked for 23 years at Caterpillar East Peoria plant before retiring. After retirement, he drove a school bus for Cuba School District.

He was a member of Cuba American Legion Russell Smith Post 533.

Cremation will be accorded. Services were held Monday at Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Cuba with Reverend Michael Barnett officiating. Inurnment was in Cuba Cemetery with full military honors accorded.
