Lois C. Mitchell, 99, of Macomb died Oct. 25, 2012, at Heartland Healthcare Center in Macomb.
She was born Oct. 23, 1913, in Schuyler County, a daughter of Harrison and Susie Curtis Sipes. She married Claire Mitchell on June 2, 1934. He preceded her in death on April 25, 1949.
She also was preceded in death by one son, Larry Mitchell; one infant grandson; and two brothers, Loren and Russell Sipes.
Surviving are one daughter, Susan Young of Vermont; one sister, Shirley Miller of Adair; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Phillips Cemetery with Rev. Dixie Croxton officiating. Cremation has been accorded. Dodsworth-Piper-Wallen Funeral Home in Macomb was in charge of arrangements.
