He was born Jan. 28, 1944, in Rushville, a son of Roy and Pauline Long McCombs. He married Jennifer Nolan on April 15, 1977, in Lewistown. She survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Chris (and Patti) McCombs and Curtis (and Cathy) McCombs, both of Lewistown; one stepson, Tim (and Stephanie) Duncan of Lewistown; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by one infant son, one infant daughter, one brother and one sister.
He worked at Caterpillar for 30 years, retiring in 1993. He later worked at J.J. Lynn car wash in Havana.
He was a member of UAW Local 974.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lewistown with Father James Fedosuk officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in Lewistown. There will be no visitation. Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Lewistown is in charge of arrangements.
