Bobbie Gene “Bob” Miller, 75, of Adair died at 8:27 a.m. Aug. 17, 2008, at McDonough District Hospital in Macomb.

He was born Oct. 3, 1932, in Bader, the son of Bryon Demont Miller and Elizabeth Trone Miller Moses. He married Shirley Sipes on Nov. 27, 1954, in Rushville. She survives.

Also surviving are three sons, Kevin (and Tonia) Miller of Littleton, Brian (and Sylvan) Miller of Colchester and Craig (and Stacey) Miller of Rushville; two daughters, Rhonda Miller (and friend Wayne Cameron) of Colchester and Lisa (and Mike) McAnally of Prescott, Wis.; 12 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one great-granddaughter, Alexis Miller.

He was a Navy veteran serving during the Korean War.

He was a member of Schuyler American Legion Post #4 and Union Local #231, Pekin, for 40 years before retiring.

Cremation has been accorded. Private family memorial services will be held at Christian Neck Cemetery northeast of Rushville with Rev. Mike Hall officiating. Military services will follow by the U.S. Navy Honor Guard and Schuyler American Legion Post #4. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville.
