CHARLITA JO (WILLIAMS) MADTSON

Charlita Madtson

Charlita Jo Madtson, 74, of Ipava died at 5:45 p.m. April 24, 2007, at Graham Hospital in Canton.

She was born Feb. 9, 1933, in Chandlerville, a daughter of George E. and Eva Jane Miller Williams. She married Nelson Edward Madtson on June 10, 1950, in Havana. He survives.

Also surviving are one son, Nelson “Ed” Jr. (and Linda) of Canton; two daughters, Mary Jo Havens of Ipava and Catherine (and Bob) Havens of Marietta; one brother, John F. Williams of Bath; two sisters, Fredonia Ritchey and Essie B. Smith, both of Havana; 10 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Dale, Howard and Jim Williams; and one grandson.

She was a licensed practical nurse at Graham Hospital and a homemaker.

Services were held Saturday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Ipava with Rev. Kevin Kessler officiating. Burial was in Ipava Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Ipava Rescue Squad or Graham Wellness Center.
