Russell E. Mercer, 82, of Table Grove died at 3:52 p.m. Oct. 2, 2006, at Culbertson Memorial Hospital in Rushville.
He was born July 28, 1924, in Fulton County, a son of Arthur and Dora Robinson Mercer. He married Margaret Foxall on Oct. 27, 1979, in Fulton County. She died April 30, 2003.
Surviving are two stepdaughters, Mary Margaret Sullivan of Columbia, Mo., and Janice Mix of Industry; seven grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Vermont Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at Kost Memorial Home with Rev. Ron Green officiating.
