Violet Musson

Violet J. Musson, 66, of Astoria died at 7:31 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2001, at Heartland Health Care Center in Macomb.

She was born Jan. 10, 1935, in Lafayette, Ind., a daughter of Raymond and Elsie Tanner Marshall. She married Jess Robert Musson on July 12, 1952, in Covington, Ind. He died Nov. 4, 2001.

She was also preceded in death by four brothers and one sister.

Surviving are one daughter, Paula Musson of Astoria; two sons, Steve (and Sharon) and Bobby (and Jeri), both of Astoria; three sisters, Martha (and Chuck) Blake of Ohio, Vivian Maurer of West Lebanon, Ind., and Jody Bowling of Covington; one brother, Tom (and Lila) Marshall of Williamsport, Ind.; and six grandchildren.

She worked at the South Fulton Senior Citizen Center in Astoria.

She also was a volunteer for the American Red Cross.

She was a 25-year member of the Rebekah Lodge in Vermont.

Services were held Saturday at Grady Funeral Home in West Lebanon, Ind. Burial was in West Lebanon Cemetery. Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria was in charge of local arrangements.
