JESS ROBERT “BOB” MUSSON

Jess R. "Bob" Musson, 69, of Astoria died at 4 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 4, 2001, at Proctor Hospital in Peoria.

He was born Dec. 5, 1931, in Danville, a son of Aretus and Eileen Wecule Musson. He married Violet Marshall on July 12, 1952, in Covington, Ind. She survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Steve (and Sharon) and Bobby (and Jeri), both of Astoria; one daughter, Paula Musson of Astoria; six grandchildren; two brothers, Albert (and Beverly) of Covington and William (and Sharon) of Danville; and six sisters, Hazel (and Don) Loveless, Mary Moore, Pat Lacey, Gladys Musson and Evelyn Williamson, all of Danville, and Eileen (and Kenny) Anders of Waco, Texas.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, two sisters and a child.

He retired from Sun Spot Mine after 38 years as a coal miner. He was a member of the United Mine Workers of America.

He served in the Army from 1952-1954.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Grady Funeral Home in West Lebanon, Ind. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. tonight at Grady Funeral Home. Burial will be at West Lebanon Cemetery in West Lebanon.
