Julia A. McKinney, 84, of Astoria, died at 4:03 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 3, 1997, at Astoria Healthcare Center.
She was born Feb. 3, 1913, in Kansas, the daughter of Daniel and Ida Elizabeth Parker Stephens. She married Charles McKinney in May 1931. He died in April 1965. One son and two grandchildren also preceded her in death.
Surviving are one daughter, Beverly Carlton of Astoria; two granddaughters; and two great-granddaughters.
She was a laborer for Mobile Chemical Co. and a member of West Fair Baptist Church in Jacksonville.
Services were held this morning at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Kevin Sager officiating. Burial was in White Chapel Memory Gardens in Canton.
