Floyd McKinley

Floyd B. McKinley, 85, of Astoria, formerly of Rushville, died at 8:15 a.m. Thursday, June 5, 1997, at the Astoria Healthcare Center.

He was born March 28, 1912, in Table Grove, a son of Lemard and Myrtle Dye McKinley. He married Mildred Phoebe Derry on Feb. 22, 1935, in Fulton County. She died May 18, 1991. He was also preceded in death by two daughters, two sisters and one brother.

He is survived by two sons, Larry McKinley of Indianapolis, Ind., and Eldon McKinley of Palos Hills; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one brother, Daniel McKinley of Macomb; and three sisters, Alma Kapp, Alta Edmiston, both of Astoria, and Mary Keller of Table Grove.

Mr. McKinley farmed until 1965, then worked for Bartlow Brothers in Rushville, retiring in 1990.

Services were held Saturday at the Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria. Burial was in Union Chapel Cemetery in Astoria.
