Daniel L. McKinley, 77, of Macomb, died at 11:53 a.m. Friday, Nov. 20, 1998, at McDonough District Hospital.

He was born Aug. 9, 1921, in Oakland Township, Schuyler County, a son of Lemard and Mrytle Dye McKinley. He married Mary Keller on Feb. 28, 1947, in Rushville. She survives.

Also surviving are one son, Wade of Macomb; two sisters, Mary Keller of Macomb and Alma Kapp of Astoria; and two granddaughters.

Two brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.

A World War II Army veteran, he was a member of Macomb Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1921 and McDonough American Legion Post 6. He was a custodian at the Illinois State Police District 14 in Macomb for many years. He also worked in the sewer department for the City of Macomb before retiring.

Services were held Tuesday at Sargent-Worthington Funeral Home with Rev. Randall Whitmier officiating. Burial was in Union Chapel Cemetery, where military rites were conducted by his VFW and American Legion Posts.
