Rachel McNeil Of Cuba Dies

Rachel McNeil, 77, of Cuba, died at 7:10 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 4, 1990, at Mason District Hospital in Havana.

She was born March 11, 1912, in Saidora, the daughter of John W. and Emily (DeWease) Kendrick. She married Earl L. McNeil on Dec. 16, 1929, in Lewistown. He died April 25, 1968.

She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Wilma Robinson of Astoria, one brother, one sister, two half brothers and two half sisters.

Survivors include two sons, Wilbur L. of Security, Colo. and John R. of Lewistown; one daughter, Ermadean Welker of Lewistown; 14 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; one brother, Eldon Kendrick of Vermont; and three sisters, Berneice Kendrick of Cuba, Dorothy Mason of Havana, and Mabel Salrin of Mt. Sterling.

She was a member of the Cuba Christian Church, Cuba Chapter Order of Eastern Star, Royal Neighbors, American Legion Auxiliary, the Senior Citizens, and the League of Democratic Women.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Hukill-Henry Funeral Home in Cuba with Rev. Jack Koehler officiating. Burial was in Cuba Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Fulton County Ambulance Fund or to her church.
