VeteranMarcus A. Miller Of Canton Dies

Marcus A. Miller, 82, of Canton, died at 2:50 a.m. Friday, Oct. 27, 1989, at Graham Hospital's extended care unit.

He was born April 30, 1907, in Vermont, a son of David and Anna (Horwedel) Miller. He married Carmen I. Cozine Aug. 21, 1928, in Palmyra, Mo. She survives.

Also surviving are one son, Thomas D. Miller of Freeport; one sister, Nellie Snowden of Vermont; three grandsons; and two step grandchildren.

Three brothers and one sister preceded him in death.

He was a World War II Army veteran and was a member of the American Legion Post 16 in Canton and the Elks Lodge No. 626. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Canton. He was formerly a partner in Frank and Mark's Barber Shop for 44 years, retiring in 1979.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Monday at Oaks Memorial Chapel with Dr. Robert K. Holler officiating. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery in Lewistown.

Memorials may be made to his church or the American Cancer Society.
