Chester McMillan Of Lewistown Dies

Rev. Bernard Wahl officiated at the 1:30 p.m. funeral services Monday afternoon in Murphy Memorial Home in Canton for Chester F. McMillan Sr., 67, rural Lewistown, who died at 9:40 p.m. Friday in Graham Hospital after an extended illness.

He was born Oct. 25, 1902, in Fulton County, the son of Granville and Mary (Pickering) McMillan. On July 10, 1926, in Missouri, he was married to Edna Hall, who survives.

Also surviving are six daughters, Mrs. Roxie George of Pekin, Mrs. Mildred Anderson of Normal, Mrs. Francele Boots of Claremont, Minn., and Mrs. Betty Kaler, Miss Linda McMillan, and Miss Susan McMillan, all of Canton; three sons, Harold D. McMillan of Astoria, Chester McMillan of Canton, Route 3, and Howard McMillan of Canton.

Other survivors include one brother, Charles McMillan of Monterey; two sisters, Mrs. Amy Roller of Canton, and Mrs. Lucy Zook of St. Petersburg, Fla.; 19 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Burial was in Bethel Cemetery.
