She was born April 2, 1933, in Astoria, a daughter of John Vincent “Tom” and Ersle Thomas Ray. She married Harold Dean Lindsey on Dec. 25, 1953, in Astoria. He preceded her in death on Sept. 13, 1999.
She also was preceded in death by one infant sister, Nancy Ray.
Surviving are four children, Randy (and Melanie) Lindsey of Havana, Jody (and Jim) Worthington and Judy Beaird, both of Rushville, and Roger Lindsey of Astoria; one sister, Marianne Johnson of Macomb; two sisters-in-law, Sharon Lindsey and Melba Lindsey, both of Astoria; eight grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
She worked at Bob’s Dairy Dipper and the Astoria Care Center for several years.
She was a member of Astoria Christian Church where she helped with the youth ministries and funeral meals. She delivered meals with the Senior Center.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Astoria Christian Church with Matt Thiner officiating. Burial will follow in Astoria Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Friday at Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville.
Memorials may be made to the Astoria Fire and Rescue or Cass/Schuyler Area Hospice.
