She was born May 19, 1939, in Peoria, a daughter of Virgil and Ella Martin Hornsby. She married Donald Ray Lutz Sr. on Aug. 5, 1975. He preceded her in death on Feb. 28, 2016.
She also was preceded in death by four brothers and five sisters.
Surviving are one son, Donald (and Merchelle) Lutz Jr. of Vermont; two brothers, Bobby Hornsby of Wis., and Jack Hornsby of Creve Coeur; three grandchildren, Bradly Lutz, Ella Lutz and Roger (and Rori) Lutz; and three great-grandchildren.
She worked as a nurse’s aide and later in housekeeping at the Holiday Inn in Macomb, which became the Days Inn.
Cremation rites have been accorded by the Oaks-Hines Funeral Home and Crematory in Canton. There will be no services per her wishes.
