Ella M. Hornsby, 75, of Creve Coeur, died at 6:50 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 29, 1985, in her home.
Born Jan. 30, 1910, in Beaumont, Ky., to George and Cordilla Young Martin, she married Virgil Hornsby in Fairbury. He died in 1961.
Surviving are five sons, Virgil Hornsby of Alaska, Roger Hornsby of Creve Coeur, Bob Hornsby of Wisconsin, Donald Hornsby of East Peoria and Jack Hornsby of Creve Coeur; four daughters, Agnes Hurt of Kentucky, Della Barnard of Peoria, Rosie Lutz of Vermont, and Neoma McClary of Pekin; one brother, Clyde Martin of Fairbury; 45 grandchildren; 64 great-grandchildren and 11 great, great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Schmidt-Haller Funeral Parlors, East Peoria, with Rev. David S. Nixon officiating. Burial will be in Fondulac Cemetery, East Peoria.
