She was born Aug. 26, 1939, in Schuyler County, a daughter of Clinton and Maxine Ambrosius Eckroy. She married Lyle Stephen Leverton on March 21, 1963, in Rushville. He preceded her in death on Jan. 28, 1993.
She also was preceded in death by one daughter, Marla Leverton; three sisters, Jean and Grace Eckroy and Rita Downs; and two brothers, James and Don Eckroy.
Surviving are two daughters, Linda Clark of Rushville and Melody (and Marlyn) Huffman of Camden; one sister, Luan (and Rick) Phillips of Rushville; one brother, Bill (and Kathy) Eckroy of Rushville; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
She first worked for Mickleberrys and Bartlow Brothers in Rushville. She also worked as an assembler for Astoria Fibra Steel. She retired from the housekeeping department at Culbertson Memorial Hospital in 1995 after 18 years of service.
She was a member of Sugar Grove United Methodist Church.
Graveside services were held Sunday at Cooperstown Cemetery with David Haney officiating. Wood Funeral Home in Rushville was in charge of arrangements.
